It may be exactly what you need.
We came across this video yesterday and we really think Bob Proctor hits the nail on the head. Take some time to watch this video and really try to understand what he is saying. It should make a lot of sense.
A paradigm shift is a fundamental change in approach or underlying assumptions.
People often wonder why certain things HAPPEN to them or question why things are the way they are in their lives. But the truth is, it all starts with you, your paradigm, and the choices you make. If you form a habit of being lazy, you're obviously not going to get anything done. You have no right to complain. But if you shift your paradigm and form good habits that make you more productive, then you'll obviously see a lot more positive change.
At the bare-bones, it really does make perfect sense. Obviously your thoughts can change your life because your thoughts are a direct influence on the decisions you make. Your decisions shape your future. Think about how different your life would look if you took this job instead of that job, chose this school instead of that school, or hung out with these people instead of those people. It would completely change what your life looks like.
Once you become aware and realize how much of an impact your thoughts and decisions are making and you begin to see these changes happening in front of your own eyes, that is when you will become a lot more in control of what happens in your life. You will start connecting the dots and honestly, it turns your life into a big chess game. You start to think about the moves you are making, you start to become more conscious of the thoughts your having, and you start to map out what you want your life to look like.
That doesn't mean life will stop throwing bricks at you, but when it does - you'll build a house.
